The trip to Burma has for different reasons been postponed many times
already.
Once it didn't fit the timetable, then there was no money. From
the political perspective it is always a certain dilemma to enter the
territory of a military dictatorship. Now Külli just bought the tickets,
confronting me with the fact of it.
Junta has dressed in suits, minorities are diligently harassed. It does not bother energy-hungry giant states. Hotels are booked two months in advance and prices are up. Everybody goes to Burma. In a couple of years more hotels will be built, prices will be back to normal and there will be as much tourists as in Thailand. Or the situation gets out of control.
Anyway, there's a plan, and some local contacts. If we'll violate the visa rules will be seen.
