Rauðanes

Between Langanes and Melrakkaslétta is Rauðanes, a small blunt peninsula that has been lined with round forms by lava, water and time.
Not much people but many seagulls. Weather with 12 degrees is unusually warm. Sheep here don’t run away from tourists for some reason.
Driving further is Melrakkaslétta on the right. A flat and empty peninsula that was the main reason for coming here in the first place. The greenery that reaches horizon is painted only by the shadows of the clouds.
A group of Spanish people is coming to the hostel so I get a separate house. No restaurant here. Tourism is rather cheap that way.
